What You’ll Do

You will be one of the core members of our mission-critical Insights Team that utilizes Yogi’s own customer feedback analytics platform to find insights on behalf of our clients and present it to them. Your core competency will be “data interpretation and storytelling” – blending your comprehension of large datasets, our clients’ product categories and analysis via best-in-class data visualization tools to discover insights, form narratives, make recommendations and write cogent, incisive reports. As a member of our team, you will:

  • Use the combination of the Yogi app, BI tools like Tableau and Excel to find insights (trends, outliers) and answer research questions posed by our clients and…
  • Use tools like PowerPoint, Tableau, Word, Excel, to create compelling charts, graphs and presentations/ reports
  • Rapidly learn about diverse industries, brands and products and become an expert in the trends and issues that characterize them
  • Support Yogi’s sales team by creating eye-catching, insightful marketing collateral about diverse industries
  • Quantify the impact of recommendations and insights and create cogent summaries / abstracts
  • Present your findings to Fortune 500 and SME clients including brand teams, marketing teams, eCommerce team and even C-Suite
  • Report on key professional services metrics and work on improving speed-to-insights and efficiency of writing reports
  • Interface with our Customer Success team as they onboard and manage relationship new clients
  • Occasionally cleanse and audit datasets


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, data science, marketing, statistics or related field (highly qualified entry level position)
  • Experience in market / brand research and quant-driven analysis
  • Highly effective written and verbal communicator with sharp attention to details. Your work output is client-ready (e.g. citations are noted, calculations are accurate, bullets are proofread and any assumptions are logical and defensible)
  • Creative, out-of-box thinker who can effectively and collaboratively brainstorm on insights with team members – able to bring your own ideas to the team, willing to challenge those of other team members, and open to being challenged in turn
  • Excel at rapidly learning about new industries and markets with self-directed research
  • Professionally proficient or expert-level user of PowerPoint – meticulous accuracy and consistency in visual presentation
  • Driven and passionate about data-driven visual storytelling


  • 2 – 4 years of experience in consulting, banking, market research, marketing or quant-driven analysis
  • Proficient or expert-level user of BI Tools such as Tableau
  • Excellent at summarizing and distilling down complex concepts into simple bullet points
  • Disciplined at documenting progress and improving internal processes
  • Prior experience working at start-ups, consulting firms, market research organizations, or in CPG brand management
  • Background in data science or statistics
  • MBA or relevant Masters degree

Timeline & Process

We are looking to fill this position ASAP and will be processing applications on a first-come, first-served basis. In general, you can expect a screening call, a technical assessment (of analytical and writing capabilities) and a behavioral interview.


This position is remote and Yogi employees are based in New York, Washington D.C. and San Diego.

We prefer candidates that are based in the San Diego area since your direct manager is based in San Diego, however, we are open to remote candidates that are based in US.
