WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will be one of the core members of our small but mission-critical Insights Team that utilizes Yogi’s own customer feedback analytics platform to find and present insights on behalf of our clients. Your core competency will be “data interpretation and storytelling” – blending your comprehension of large datasets, our clients’ product categories and analysis of data visualizations to discover insights, form narratives and write cogent, incisive reports. As a member of our team, you will:

  • Use the combination of the Yogi app, BI tools like Tableau and Excel to find insights (trends, outliers) and answer research questions posed by our clients and…

  • Use tools like PowerPoint, Tableau, Word, Excel, to create compelling charts, graphs and presentations/ reports.

  • Support the Customer Success team as they onboard new clients.

  • Create new “projects” on the Yogi app platform, based on the scope parameters set by clients and self-directed industry and eCommerce research.

  • Proactively serve as the Voice of the Customer for our engineering team, both as a Yogi app beta-tester and as a liaison with client users.

  • Over time, once you become a power user of Yogi, you will demonstrate how to use the Yogi app to potential clients and support the creation of tutorials and training materials.

  • Over time, you will establish relationships with and gain trust with clients’ teams by meeting regularly, anticipating unmet needs and gathering feedback from them.



REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in market/ brand research and quant-driven analysis (This is not an entry level position)

  • Highly effective written and verbal communicator with sharp attention to details. Your work output is client-ready (e.g. citations are noted, calculations are accurate, bullets are proofread and any assumptions are logical and defensible)

  • Creative, out-of-box thinker who can effectively and collaboratively brainstorm on insights with team members - able to bring your own ideas to the team, willing to challenge those of other team members, and open to being challenged in turn

  • Excel at rapidly learning about new industries and markets with self-directed research

  • Proficient or expert-level user of PowerPoint or similar presentation software

  • Driven and passionate about the analytics platform we have built and the work our team is doing



NICE-TO-HAVES

  • Proficient or expert-level user of BI Tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Google Data Studio

  • Excellent at summarizing and distilling down complex concepts into simple bullet points

  • Competent at documenting and improving internal processes

  • Prior experience working at start-ups, market research organizations, or in CPG brand management

  • Background in data science or statistics

  • MBA or relevant Masters degree

TIMELINE & PROCESS

We are looking to fill this position ASAP and will be processing applications on a first-come, first-served basis. In general, you can expect a screening call, a technical assessment (of analytical and writing capabilities) and a behavioral interview.

WHERE
 

Our office is located in Midtown Manhattan, a few blocks away from Rockefeller Center. The team is currently working remotely until it's safe to co-locate again. While we prefer candidates that are based in the NYC area, we are open to remote candidates that are based in North America.
